Apple opens NFC interface
For the first time in the history of the iOS operating system, Apple released the interface for short-range radio (NFC) for third-party applications in mid-September. We immediately took advantage of this decision and have now launched the G-Log app for iPhones. This makes us one of the first companies ever to provide an industrial application for iPhones with NFC technology. The app is used to display shock or temperature events and transmit them by e-mail. All premium functions are also available, such as data transfer to a cloud memory or the display of location information.
New: ASPION G-Log Premium
With the new cloud-based service ASPION G-Log Premium, sensor data are available for analysis immediately after readout via app. This offers many advantages: Unlimited recording of evaluations by additive combination of events, transmission of the GPS position for location information, allocation of transport sections - and this without additional infrastructure.
ASPION G-Log Waterproof with housing protection IP 65
With the ASPION G-Log Waterproof, the shock sensor is now available for the first time in a version that is completely protected against water ingress. The sensor's electronics are effectively protected against moisture, splash water, water jets and the ingress of dust by encapsulation and a robust ABS housing. This enables the sensor to be used even on unpackaged goods that are directly exposed to the prevailing environmental influences. The ASPION G-Log Waterproof complies with the guidelines for enclosure protection class IP 65.
Indirect sales expanded
ASPION has entered into a strategic distribution partnership with the IBS Group in order to acquire new customers from the machine and plant engineering industry. "The shock sensor G-Log fits perfectly to the demands our customers place on modern process monitoring", says André Schmid, Managing Director of the IBS Group. "For us, the IBS Group is an extremely powerful partner," says Michael Wöhr, Managing Director of ASPION GmbH. "We are confident that both companies will benefit equally from this cooperation.
Smartphone App available in China
ASPION G-Log App in the Baidu App Store
Not everywhere is access to Google's Play Store given. Therefore, for customers with deliveries to China, the smartphone app ASPION G-Log is now available via the Baidu App Store. With the availability of the app in the Chinese Baidu App Store, the shock sensors can now be read out via NFC-enabled smartphones and Chinese mobile phones.
ASPION GmbH was founded by the Bundesverband IT-Mittelstand e.V. (Federal Association of IT SMEs). (BITMi) with the seal of approval "Software Made in Germany". BITMi Vice President Martin Hubschneider presented the seal of approval to Michael Wöhr, founder and managing director of ASPION GmbH at CeBIT. "We are very pleased to receive the BITMi seal of approval," emphasizes Managing Director Michael Wöhr. "The award confirms our good positioning in Germany. The new application list shows all sensors in use with their details. In addition, writing and reading with the USB card reader has been optimized.
Smart and flexible: Transport monitoring with shock sensor ASPION G-Log
With the smart functions of the new Version 2, the transport monitoring of shocks can be made even more flexible: The new stop function now enables fully time-controlled recording. The display range for shock values can be extended to ± 24 g. The smartphone app comes with useful features such as PIN protection against unauthorized access to details, a list function and more. Preview presented at LogiMAT
Recorded shock and temperature values can now be read out wirelessly via Smartphone app (Android from version 4.1) from the sensor via NFC. The ASPION partner BARCODAT presented the preview of the app as well as the PC software ASPION G-Log Manager for the first time at the LogiMAT from March 8th to 10th in Stuttgart.
Transparency in case of transport damage
The new digital shock sensor ASPION G-Log records the exact time when shocks or critical temperature events occur. It records shocks with accelerations of up to ± 16 g across all three axes as well as temperature values with date and time according to the event principle: The sensor therefore only supplies data when the specified threshold values are exceeded or not reached. The PC software ASPION G-Log Manager is used for commissioning and evaluation of the shock sensor. The data transmission ...
