ASPION G-Log 2 monitors transport conditions according to European transport standard

ASPION shock recorder wins Best of Industry Award 2022

Karlsruhe, 18 December 2022. The Karlsruhe-based Aspion GmbH wins the Best of Industry Award 2022 in the sensor technology category with its shock recorder. The data logger checks transport conditions according to European transport standards, allowing any transport damage to be detected cost-effectively even without specialist expertise for industrial companies. The winners of the renowned innovation competition of the industry magazine MM Maschinenmarkt were determined via online voting from 190 applicants.

Winners determined by online voting

After the intelligent transport data logger was already awarded the Innovation Prize of the State of Baden-Württemberg last year, this year the company receives the renowned Industry Award: Since 2016, the "Best of Industry Award" annually honors innovative solutions and new approaches in several categories and this year registered a record number of participants with 190 applications. Innovations or further developed solutions that had been launched on the market between June 2021 and March 2022 were eligible for submission. Award winners distinguish themselves as solutions that stand out from the crowd and offer real added value. After a five-month voting phase with around 20,000 votes cast, the total of 24 winners from a wide range of industry sectors were determined.

Real added value for industrial companies

Damage incidents on transport routes are part of everyday life throughout all industries. However, the assessment or detection of transport damage caused by shock/vibration has until now only been possible with specialist expertise and a great deal of effort. For the first time, the European transport standard IEC 60721-3-2 has been integrated into a cost-effective data logger - making data analysis a much simpler process. "Transport damage caused by shock or vibration, or even climatic factors such as temperature or relative humidity, can thus be detected cost-effectively and easily. For the companies that use the data logger, this means a reduced transport risk and more planning security on the cost side." explains Sebastian Human, trade editor MM Maschinenmarkt the added values at the online award ceremony on December 12.
