Transport data logger ASPION G-Log 2 Waterproof:
Waterproof housing for harsh environments.
The weatherproof shock and climate data logger ASPION G-Log 2 Waterproof measures and records shock events in a traceable manner - in all axis directions and for the highest shocks detailed in milliseconds. Climate data such as temperature and relative humidity are also reliably logged. Thanks to its robust design, the data logger with protection class IP 65/67 is ideally suited for transporting unpackaged goods and for use in harsh working environments. Transport loads thus become traceable, transparent and assignable - especially in the event of damage. Reduce expenses for transport damage now and increase your process quality!
Unique: Testing of shock/vibration according to transport standard
A unique function is the shock/vibration test according to transport standard IEC 60721-3-2: The data logger compares vibrations and shocks with the selected class and standard. This makes the testing of transport conditions much easier and as simple as proving compliance with a cold chain!
For companies, this results in a real advantage: for the first time, transport damage can be verified cost-effectively and without specialist knowledge. The implementation of this innovation brought the ASPION G-Log 2 and its waterproof variant the victory at the Best of Industry Award 2022 in the category sensor technology.

Application areas of the transport data loggers
The new ASPION G-Log 2 Waterproof - as a waterproof variant of the ASPION G-Log 2 - was developed especially for the transport monitoring of sensitive goods and merchandise outdoors, without outer packaging and for use in harsh working environments. Especially manufacturers in the machine and plant construction, the energy sector or in the automotive and electronics industry benefit from the valuable information recorded by the shock and climate data logger.
Shock recording can be optionally switched off via the PC software, making the data logger also suitable for monitoring temperature- and humidity-sensitive products during transport and in the warehouse. Climate data such as temperature and relative humidity are recorded on an interval and event basis using intelligent algorithms.
The ASPION G-Log 2 Waterproof shock and climate data logger is attached directly to the transported goods, initialized with threshold values and/or transport standard and class and activated immediately or time-controlled. Over the entire transport duration, it stores occurring events: Shocks and impacts, temperature and humidity fluctuations that lie outside the preset tolerance limits - or continuously at the set interval. The data can be read, evaluated and transferred at any time via smartphone app using NFC and Bluethooth. Afterwards, the data can be conveniently analyzed with the free PC software. With the use of the premium service, activation via the smartphone app is also possible worldwide in a process-safe manner.

For the interpretation and evaluation in the event of damage, the data of a shock event in detail are particularly important. The sensor records the temporal course of a shock on all three axes at millisecond level. This section of a total of 19 values is used for exact analysis of the course, allows conclusions to be drawn about the effects and can make a significant contribution to the evaluation in the event of damage and for packaging optimization. The sensor stores both the very first shock and the other eight highest shocks separately at this resolution. This gives ASPION shock data loggers a unique level of detail that is unparalleled among data loggers in the same price segment.
New: Activate data logger process-safe and location-independent via app
Since the release of the new version 6, ASPION G-Log 2 Waterproof data loggers can be activated easily, quickly and flexibly directly via smartphone app. The activation is done together with the cloud service ASPION G-Log Premium. New activations are automatically displayed for you in the PC software. This gives you full control and transparency over all data loggers in use - at any time and regardless of location.
After extensive testing, we recently started using the Aspion G-Log 2 sensor to monitor the global transport of our circuit breakers. The data logger has the ability to select the transport class 2M4 to 2M6 according to IEC 60721-3-2 Ed. 3.0 standard. If thresholds within a transport class are exceeded, these events are recorded and marked in red. This has the great advantage that it can be quickly recognized whether the standard has been complied with or not.

"We use the shock sensors to monitor the transport of our high-quality pharmaceutical packaging machines and to track transport or loading damage. The shock sensors have proven themselves right from the start and provide us with very good service in the argumentation of damage to insurance companies or customers."
Rolf Geiger, Head of Export & Shipping
Uhlmann Pac-Systeme GmbH & Co. KG
"For over 25 years, we have been supplying customers with our machines and systems, which are characterised by quality, availability and delivery speed. With the use of the small and compact ASPION G-Log 2, we track our complete solutions in terms of shock, humidity and temperature. This enables us to detect damaging environmental conditions at an early stage. In this way, we rule out possible malfunctions."
Enrico Dornack, Purchasing Department
"The problem with our instrument transformers is that damage that occurs during transport is not immediately apparent. For us it is more than important to know exactly when a critical event occurred. Both the measurement data from our laboratory and the price for the G-Log sensor from ASPION convinced us quite quickly."
Manuel Hollet, Shipping Manager
Trench Germany GmbH
"The ASPION G-Log Manager software and the associated smartphone app for controlling the shock sensors are characterized above all by user-friendliness, flexibility and a sophisticated, smart design. We are also pleased to award seal holders that produce internationally oriented products."
Martin Hubschneider, Vice President BITMi
Bundesverband IT Mittelstand e.V.
"We import photovoltaic panels from Asia. Our experience with transport damage and the unpleasant disputes have led us to organise the complete transport ourselves. The G-Log 2 shock and climate data loggers from Aspion were used from the very beginning. The high quality and level of detail of the recorded data has significantly strengthened our negotiating position with the insurance companies. The days are over when transport parties blamed each other."
Alexander Marxreiter, Managing Director
"For the monitoring of a machine transport to Russia we successfully used the ASPION shock sensors. With the Smartphone App our technician was able to read the data at the destination and make an initial diagnosis. Due to its simple handling and robustness, we will continue to expand the system."
