Indirect sales of shock sensors expanded
ASPION concludes strategic distribution partnership with IBS Group
ASPION GmbH, a Karlsruhe-based company specializing in the development and marketing of energy-optimized sensors for industry 4.0, has recently entered into a strategic sales partnership with system supplier and engineering service provider IBS. The G-Log shock sensor developed by ASPION for transport monitoring is now included in the sales portfolio of the IBS Group. The sensor is to be distributed to companies in the mechanical and plant engineering industry with shock- and temperature-sensitive components.
The shock sensor ASPION G-Log is a sensor weighing only 35 grams and installed in a robust ABS housing. It detects shocks with accelerations of up to ± 24 g in three axes and temperatures with date and time according to the event principle. The collected data is transmitted wirelessly to the receiver unit via NFC technology. The ability to record up to 286 events to the second and in temperature ranges from -30°C to +60°C creates transparency and security in the supply chain of sensitive goods.
"The G-Log shock sensor is a perfect match for the demands our customers place on modern process monitoring," says André Schmid, Managing Director of the IBS Group. "Machine builders in particular, who represent the majority of our customers, are currently facing the major task of preparing their companies for the requirements of industry 4.0. In this environment, cooperation with the development specialists at ASPION GmbH fits perfectly into our "overall concept".
"For us, the IBS Group is an extremely powerful partner," adds Michael Wöhr, Managing Director of ASPION GmbH. "With this cooperation, we can build on a customer base of around 7,500 companies from the machine and plant engineering industry that has grown over the years. We are sure that both companies will benefit equally from the cooperation."
In the future, the IBS Group will carry out marketing and sales activities for the shock sensor and actively market the product to the customer base. The ASPION G-Log Sensor is an innovative addition to the IBS Group's product range. This considerably expands the possibility to operate in the markets of industry 4.0.
